Mzansi School of Skills tackles the issues of youth unemployment, lack of digital literacy, and the skills gap that prevents township entrepreneurs and small businesses from thriving in a world that is becoming more and more digital.
South Africa has a 44% youth unemployment rate, and many young people don’t have the necessary training and exposure to digital tools that could enable them to create income opportunities. Additionally, township entrepreneurs struggle with business administration, digital marketing, compliance, and financial management due to a lack of accessible and affordable training.
Mzansi School of Skills addresses this issue by delivering affordable, accessible, and practical digital and business training for township entrepreneurs and unemployed youth.
As an organization, we are deeply embedded in the township and informal economy, working with small business owners, informal traders, and unemployed youth. Our team has firsthand experience with the struggles of small businesses and unemployed youth, making us well-positioned to design solutions that directly address their needs. We have engaged with thousands of entrepreneurs through our training, mentorship programs, and digital upskilling initiatives, ensuring that our approach is community-driven and impact-focused.
