Digital Capacity Building
Digital Capacity Building is the ability to use technology effectively, safely, and responsibly. For nonprofits, it is key to engage stakeholders, manage operations, and maximize impact.
Strengthening the digital capabilities of civil society organisations through structured training and ongoing support. This includes improving organisational productivity, effectiveness, and sustainability through better use of technology.
Key areas are:
- Cloud Computing Adoption for CSOs: Our Cloud Computing for CSOs programme equips organisations with skills, tools, and confidence to harness cloud technologies that improve collaboration, efficiency, and impact. Through tailored training and hands-on support, we introduce nonprofits to essential platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google for Nonprofits, while also demystifying core cloud computing concepts. Participants learn how to securely store and share data, streamline communication, and leverage cloud-based productivity tools, enabling them to operate more effectively in the digital age.
- Digital Marketing Training: Our Digital Marketing for Nonprofits programme empowers organisations to effectively share their mission, grow their audiences, and engage supporters online. Through practical training in social media strategy, content creation, and audience communication, participants learn how to set up and manage impactful social media channels and use them for meaningful outreach and marketing. The programme also introduces essential tools and resources such as Canva, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp, alongside email marketing best practices that strengthen supporter relationships and improve campaign results — helping nonprofits amplify their voice and increase their impact in the digital space.
- eSafety: eSafety is a comprehensive online safety, digital safety, and cybersecurity capacity-building programme that supports civil society organisations, and activists to navigate digital spaces safely and confidently. Through practical, context-specific training delivered via workshops, online learning, and hands-on TechClinics. It addresses key digital risks such as online harassment, cyberbullying, data breaches, surveillance, scams, and technology-facilitated abuse. By strengthening awareness, digital resilience, and responsible technology use, eSafety promotes safer, more inclusive, and more resilient online environments for all
- AI for CSOs: AI for CSOs introduces civil society organisations to the practical use of artificial intelligence to strengthen marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts. Through accessible training on AI fundamentals and hands-on guidance, participants learn how to use free and affordable AI tools to create content, analyse data, and improve outreach while using technology responsibly and ethically. The programme helps nonprofits build confidence in emerging technologies, enabling them to work more efficiently, expand their reach, and increase their impact in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
