The partnership will support eligible nonprofit organisations with access to Canva for Nonprofits, practical training, and capacity-building opportunities designed to strengthen storytelling, visibility, and digital engagement.
Phambano and Canva have entered into a new partnership to support nonprofit organisations across South Africa with greater access to digital design tools, practical skills-building, and creative capacity development.
Through the partnership, Phambano and Canva will work together to expand awareness and uptake of Canva for Nonprofits among eligible organisations in Phambano’s network. The collaboration will focus on helping nonprofits build stronger digital visibility and communications capacity, particularly in underserved and rural communities where practical support is often needed most.
In addition to access pathways for eligible nonprofits, the partnership will include capacity-building support through relevant learning resources, webinars, and selected in-person training support where feasible. The aim is to help nonprofit teams move beyond access alone and build confidence using Canva for real organisational needs, including storytelling, donor communication, social media, presentations, reports, flyers, event materials, and branded content.
The collaboration reflects a shared belief that nonprofit organisations need simple, practical tools to communicate their work more effectively, engage supporters, and strengthen their impact.
Quote from Phambano:
“Many nonprofit organisations, especially those working in rural and underserved communities, need more than access to technology — they need practical support to use it well. This partnership with Canva is an exciting opportunity to help organisations strengthen their digital capacity, improve how they tell their stories, and better communicate their impact.”
Arnold Netshambidi, Founder and Executive Director, Phambano
