One On One Community-Based Programmes is a CIPC-registered NPC with a PBO status awarded by the South African Revenue Services Tax Exemption Unit, for STEAM education. As a company registered not for profit, One On One Community Based Programmes seeks to redress historical imbalances by providing holistic solutions to all pre-tertiary education beneficiaries in SA – especially the previously disadvantaged communities. It is envisaged that this would be accomplished through public-private sector partnerships and all other relevant stakeholders.

Wishlist:
Firstly, we would appreciate partnerships that would facilitate the acquisition of STEAM education “manipulatives” for experimentation purposes in order to merge cognitive input and practicals into holistic outcomes (eg. Mylab Mobile Laboratories for Physical Sciences)
Secondly, partnerships that would enable Skills Development opportunities for the unemployed and those employable through our programs (including the respective SETA’s)

Cause Highlights
One On One Community-Based Programmes has, since inception, achieved the following feats:
1. Won the Africa Eduweek Awards 2015 (Africa)
2. Won the Africa Eduweek Basic Education Award 2016 (South Africa)
3. Established together with our implementation partners STEAM Centres in Western Cape, North West Provinces as well as provided STEAM training for both educators and learners across the country
4. Launched Computer Laboratories for Digital Literacy in Free State, Gauteng and Limpopo Provinces – at schools and Community Centres
5. Launched Science Laboratories across the country in partnership with our implementation partners (Institutions of Higher Learning)
6. Registered as a Non-Profit Company in Lesotho for the same STEAM intents and purposes and operates within the prescribed Laws of the land
