Google Alerts is a content change detection and notification service, offered by the search engine company Google. The service sends emails to the user when it finds new results \u2014 such as web pages, newspaper articles, blogs, or scientific research \u2014 that match the user\u2019s search term.   4. GBV vicitims can use Google Alerts to track where their name is being used online and potentially help trace the origin of a cyberbully.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How do I create an alert for my organisation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Start using Google Alerts by signing up here: https:\/\/www.google.com\/alerts<\/a><\/li>\n
      2. In the box at the top, enter a topic you want to follow.<\/li>\n
      3. To change your settings, click\u00a0Show options<\/strong>. You can change:\u00a0How often you get notifications |\u00a0The types of sites you\u2019ll see |\u00a0Your language |\u00a0The part of the world you want info from |\u00a0How many results you want to see |\u00a0What accounts get the alert<\/li>\n
      4. Click\u00a0Create Alert<\/strong>. You\u2019ll get emails whenever we find matching search results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        How do I edit an alert?<\/strong><\/p>\n

        2. Next to an alert, click Edit\u00a0\"Edit\".<\/li>\n
        3. If you don\u2019t see any options, click\u00a0Show options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        4. Make your changes.<\/li>\n
        5. Click\u00a0Update Alert<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        6. To change how you get alerts, click Settings\u00a0\"Settings\"\u00a0\"and\u00a0check the options you want and click\u00a0Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
