How will the #KeepSafeOnline Bootcamp work?
Starting 22 April 2020, the virtual #KeepSafeOnline Bootcamp will begin. Daily, for 5 days (Wednesday 22 April – Sunday 26 April / 10am) Themba Southern Africa will provide online safety resources, how-to’s and interactive discussions in our dedicated Facebook Group.
Some of the topics that will be covered
- Conversation Starters for Parents – how to talk to your children about online safety; cyberbullying e.t.c
- Strong Passwords – why are they important and how to create strong passwords, as recommended by Google.
- Identity Theft – with the rise of identity theft threatening many across the globe, learn more about how to protect yourself from it!
- What is Fake News and how to report it – fake news can have long lasting and damaging effects, we will guide you through the process of identifying it and how to correctly report it on different platforms.
