The Porterville Recreational Facility is committed to fostering early childhood development by providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. Through structured play, educational activities, and community involvement, we aim to enhance homesteading, physical, cognitive and social growth.

Our commitment extends beyond early childhood—we continue to support these learners into adulthood by assisting with job searches, family planning and nutritional guidance.

In the afternoons, we welcome school-going students for a nutritional meal and homework assistance. Our dedicated tutors guide them through all subjects, helping with projects and assignments. To ensure their safety, we provide a transport service, ensuring each child is dropped off at home securely.

We also run a monthly support group for young women, focusing on empowerment through informative talks, guidance, and art therapy.

Additionally, we manage the Princess Project of Bergrivier, which collects and loans out previously loved formal dresses to young women in our local community, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to attend special events with confidence and dignity.
