Our online safety programme, Themba Southern Africa, is inviting your NPO to a free, virtual Online Safety Bootcamp.

How will the #KeepSafeOnline Bootcamp work?

Starting 22 April 2020, the virtual #KeepSafeOnline Bootcamp will begin. Daily, for 5 days (Wednesday 22 April – Sunday 26 April / 10am) Themba Southern Africa will provide online safety resources, how-to’s and interactive discussions in our dedicated Facebook Group.

Some of the topics that will be covered
  • Conversation Starters for Parents – how to talk to your children about online safety; cyberbullying e.t.c
  • Strong Passwords – why are they important and how to create strong passwords, as recommended by Google.  
  • Identity Theft – with the rise of identity theft threatening many across the globe, learn more about how to protect yourself from it!
  • What is Fake News and how to report itfake news can have long lasting and damaging effects, we will guide you through the process of identifying it and how to correctly report it on different platforms.
